I was thinking about my Benefits blog and one thing that I struggle with is focus. What I mean is this…… who am I targeting and what am I trying to say. I have made a decision after taking over six months from my blog. I have made a decision that I will focus on those in the trenches. The one that has to make it happen for themselves and their families everyday. So I hope that I will be a source of education, motivation and inspiration. Till next time…….

Must Read Book!

Zig Ziglar is the man when it comes to sales and life. This is a good quick read and could be the best 10 bucks you ever spent…..Selling 101: What Every Successful Sales Professional Needs to Know

I want to encourage you to learn something new every day….. Remember you are either green and growing or ripe and rotting……..

Book of the Day!

I will be offering the book of the day. I believe we all have to continue to learn on a daily basis. So, today’s book is Little Platinum Book of Cha-Ching: 32.5 Strategies to Ring Your Own (Cash) Register in Business and Personal Su ccess (Jeffrey Gitomer’s Little Books).

For those that have never heard of Gitomer just hold on. Gitomer is a refreshing in your face sales trainer that holds nothing back! This book focuses on the Patterson Principles and if you have never heard of Patterson I will give you a clue. How many places do you go to that does not give you a receipt. Patterson is the man that created the “need” for a receipt!

You are either still on the tree growing or on the ground ripe and rotting!

Happy Father’s Day

I hope everyone has a great Father’s Day! It makes me think about the balance that we must have in our lives. With that being said, I would encourage you to take a look today at the year so far. I mean it is halfway over. what are you doing……Is it working? If not, change it!

Making Friends

Demands on us are high I know. In sales there are no safety nets. If you don’t make the sale we may not eat. So we often develop this thing called “commission breath”. This is the death of any salesperson. “CB” will lead you down the path of being a pushy, results driven, sign here, commission counting salesperson. We CAN NOT go to our clients with this attitude. Now I know the markets are tough. I am out there everyday too. I believe that in today’s market, as tough as it is, it is more important than ever to form relationships through listening and being all about solutions. I believe that this is the key points of my job description…. friend maker, problem solver, solution provider….. If we can follow this track the commissions will come. So will you “sell” something today or will you go out and make a friend today…… The choice is yours..
